During my teen years I attended a youth group with some friends. It was mostly a social function without much deep Bible teaching. My junior year of high school we got a new youth pastor. I remember clearly him teaching lessons out of 1 John, and the Holy Spirit developing in me a deep sense of conviction. Ever since then I've been walking with Jesus as my Savior and Lord. I attended Wheaton College where I met my wife Maureen.
Over the years I've had a variety of experiences at the churches we've attended. I worked with inner city youth at a storefront church plant. As our two children grew I served as a Sunday School and Wednesday night leader for grades 5 – 12. I've also taught adult classes, led small groups and served on church boards. Three and a half years ago the Lord led me to take a position teaching at Wheaton College after 18 years at a university in Ohio. We visited Rez our first week here and have been here ever since. At Rez I've helped with RezKids midweek and with Vigil and I regularly serve on the Eucharist team and lead and participate in Morning Prayer.
