David and the Giant
1 Samuel 16-17
The time had come for Israel to have a new king to lead the people. God had rejected Saul as the king because he had rejected the ways of the Lord. The prophet Samuel was sent to Jesse to choose the next king of Israel from his sons. Once David was anointed, God's Spirit was upon him. When David went into the battle with Goliath, God was with Him. God fought for his people and was victorious; God is powerful.
